What is a speakON connector and what is it used for used for?

The speakON connectors are designed for highest mechanical and electrical loads and fulfill all safety standards. They are used to transmit high currents which occur for example at amplifier - loudspeakers lines. Due to its mating mechanism arcing is prevented and human touch can not happen. The speakON connectors are UL-recognized and CSA-listed.
